Tet Flower Markets - Hanoi - Vietnam
With the Lunar New Year coming to a close, the Vietnamese are gearing up to see out the old and welcome the new. Tet is a very special time through out Vietnam and is commonly celebrated with family, visits to those that have passed and many offerings and incent burning.
As with every year, the flower markets come out and offer freshly cut flowers, kumquat trees and peach blossoms. Many a house and office can be seen decorated with a kumquat tree. These are for sale at the local markets a week or so prior to Tet. Trees range in prices from 500,000vnd until 7,000,000vnd!
If your in Hanoi during Tet, be sure to check out at least one flower market, there a great sopt for amazing photographs!
