What’s On Offer?
The Hotel Ven Ven is located in the quiet and remote beach village of Ho Coc, some 150km from HCMC. The village itself is really quiet, peaceful and has very little to offer except for relaxation, beach and the freshest seafood around!
The Hotel Ven Ven, has around a dozen basic rooms which start from around 300,000vnd per night. Rooms have en suites with hot water, TV (VTV 1 and 2 only) and some basic furniture. The truth is, the rooms are simple, but clean and comfy. See the image to the right.
The hotel grounds are really beautiful and peaceful. Large trees and bamboo provide plenty of shade and small seats located around the place provide a great area to sit and chat or just relax. The beach is across the road, around 200m away and while we were there, it was almost empty. The small stalls along the sand sell great seafood all of which is alive and well until you order!
Nothing is included in the room rates, however breakfast cost 15/30,000 for eggs or noodles and coffee/tea was 10,000vnd. The hotel restaurant does great meals for dinner and lunch, with most costing around 40/80,000vnd per main.
The Good Oil:
Ho Coc and the Hotel Ven Ven are not the places to go if you want to drink until 3am! Rather if you are after a nice place to escape or a romantic beach get a way with nothing to do and very few people, this is a great choice!Out of 10:
10/10 - Basic but comfy hotel. Staff helpful, though little English spoken. All in all, going to Ho Coc is all about relaxation and that's exactly what we did!
